How to install a Gas Interlock System
The gas interlock panel should be mounted on a wall for easy access by all. A main isolation solenoid valve should be connected to the gas interlock panel. The minimum requirement is that the extraction fan is be connected to the interlock panel. This should be via a fan speed controller. The option of a inlet fan can also be connected to bring in the fresh air. The gas interlock will monitor the fan speed or air differential pressure. If this is too low, it will shut the main gas valve to the cooking appliance. A Co2 sensor can also be used to ensure the levels are within a pre-defined scope. The gas interlock can also be connected to a separate BMS system.
