They both have their specific uses and careful selection should be made to ensure long life and premature failure. Mica heaters are for general use and is suitable for temperatures up to 350 deg C. They are less flexible and has a thinner profile. They are a lower cost alternative compared to ceramic band heaters but work just as well within their scope of use. Ceramic band heaters however are more heavy duty and should be used where temperatures are required to get up to 800 deg C. They offer more flexibility but are thicker in profile. We can supply both options with thermocouple holes, split designs and with different types of clampping styles.[/woodmart_info_box][/vc_column][/vc_row]
