Installation and safe use

• Do not use with flammable materials or in areas with an explosion hazard.
• Fit near the lower part of an upright drum, in accordance with the heater’s installation instructions.
• Use only on a drum containing material. Keep the heated band below the contents level; do not heat an empty drum.
• Do not exceed the temperature limits of the drum or its contents. Excessive heat can damage temperature-sensitive materials.
• Have electrical connections completed by a suitably qualified person and follow the supplied instructions.
• Confirm the required protection for the installation environment before use. No outdoor or weatherproof rating is specified here.

Does the thermostat setting equal the temperature of the contents?

The stated 30–150°C range is the thermostat setting range, not a guarantee that all drum contents will reach the same temperature. Monitor the contents as required for your process.

Which size should I order?

Match the nominal capacity, band width and band length to your drum. The two 200L options differ in both width and power: 125mm/1500W and 250mm/2000W.

Are 110V options included?

Can I fit more than one band to a drum?
