Solid-state relays from 25A to 60A, zero crossing. (double actual load when sizing)
A solid-state relay is like an electromechanical relay. It has no moving contact parts so is not prone to wear. They use optical semi-conductors that converts from an electrical signal to switch the load. As a result, they make no noise which is common with mechanical relays.
There are 3 common types, zero switching, peak switching and analogue switching. The most common of all is zero switching.
Although they typically cost more than mechanical relays, they will outlast time many times over so will pay for themselves in the long run. They are the preferred choice when it comes to accurate control. We recommend them when PID temperature controllers are being used or selected from our website.
