High limit thermostats are important features on any thermostat control catering equipment. These prevent equipment and parts form over heating and potentially causing injuries or damage to products or food stuffs. They are typically set to about 15% over the thermostats maximum control temperature which will automatically cause the heating circuit to go into the open position. The circuit will not go live again until the reset button is pressed. This thermostat is normally positioned in an out of the way position so it cannot be easily override by users.
