Which IR lamp should I choose?

This is dependant on the application, each one is different to the next and should be examined closely to ensure the best performance is achieved.

Look at what material is being heated as they all absorb infrared radiation at different rates therefore different wattage selections will be required.

The material thickness must be considered because this will determine if heating is required from both sides or one side, thicker the material then 2 side heating is required so as to prevent surface burning. Consideration should be made with thicknesses between 2 and 3mm if both sides should be heated.

Dwell time, this will depend on several factors such as colour, material mass, required temperature and material reflection. The shorted optimum time should be looked to be achieved to reduce production time.
