Infrared Lamps

Energy-efficient short-wave heat lamps from Under Control Instruments are designed for use in heated counters and serveries by catering equipment manufacturers. The lamps are available in overall a lengths of 220mm, and supplied in 300 and 500W power ratings.

The lamps promise a working life of 8000 hours across the whole range, which is 60% longer than most competing units, which only offer 5000 hours of operation.

Novel design features give them stability in catering environments at competitive prices.

All lamps are CE approval and manufactured to EN60335-1:2005 and EN60335-2-30:2003, the Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC and the RoHS Directive.

These lamp holders are made from polished reflective stainless steel and not from aluminium like others. Almost all of the heat is projected forward. This gives optimum use of the lamps energy and prevents the holder from absorbing the heat and overheating. This in turn causes failures of the connector ends and cabling. We offer these holders to suit all catering lamps 220mm long with R7S push in ends. They are fitted with a 6A rated ceramic spring terminals and will suit jacketed or un-jacketed lamps.

These lamp holders are to suit lamps that are 118mm long lamps with R7S ends. They have ceramic ends rated 6A with PTFE or fibreglass leads.

Low-cost digital controllers to be used as replacements for normal capillary thermostats.

New from Under Control Instruments, high-specification 8820 series digital controllers are supplied as standard with a 20A main relay outputs and two NTC sensors for controlling temperatures from -50 to 150 deg C. They are suitable for many applications requiring on/off heating and cooling control.

Hot air circulation fan are for use in a wide range of kitchen equipment.

Under Control Instruments now offers a range of circulation fans specifically for catering equipment manufacturers. They are designed to improve the heat circulation within ovens and hot cupboards and are ideal for application in equipment such as ovens, climate cabinets, meal and dish warmers etc.

The design combines a radial impeller (cooling fan) made of sheet steel and a mounting plate (heat shield) to set the motor away from the hot area.

High-temperature-resistant lubricant is used for the sleeve bearings, and the winding insulation is class H.

8820 Temperature Controller

The U.C.I Serving hot tops are fitted into catering servery hot counters to give the user a controllable food surface serving temperature. The glass can either manufactured from ceramic toughened glass. This gives strength, stability, safety, the surface is also easily cleanable. The ceramic glass has a maximum working temperature of 750°C, and the toughened glass of 200 deg C, both are fitted with a heated element suitable for controlling up to 120 deg C

Servery Hot Top counters

Under Control Instruments has a new range of ceramic long-wave infra-red heaters The heaters are CE and UL approved and will give performance of between 5000 and 10,000 hours

They are available in standard sizes of 245 x 60, 122 x 60 and 122 x 122mm, and are also available with a flat-face design.

These heaters are used to keep food ware in display units.

Under Control instruments can also supply a range of accessories, including high-temperature cables, ceramic blocks and energy regulators to suit.

Theses lamps lamps are of the same design and performance as the 220mm long lamp above but 118mm long to suit different holders. They are available in wattages of 200,300 and 500w

These high quality ceramic terminal blocks make wiring connections to heaters efficient and easy and have a touch safe design. Ovens, furnaces, kilns, infrared heaters, quartz tube heaters, catering equipment, etc. Fitted with Nickel plated brass connectors, they can withstand 250°C.

Available in ampages from 5 to 30A and 1 to 6 pole.
